Reconnect and resume

Persisted messages resume in sequence.

Each persisted chat message receives a per-chat sequence number. After a reconnect, clients request persisted messages after the last sequence they saw.

  • Idempotent client message ids reconcile send retries with the stored message
  • Reload and reconnect paths fetch persisted message gaps in sequence order
  • Agent and visitor read watermarks are stored with the conversation state
A dropped connection shows an honest banner, then the thread resumes from the last message it saw.

Automation

Rules can handle matched repeat questions.

With Extended enabled and automation dispatch available, xyzBot applies built-in or workspace keyword rules. Handoff decisions mark the same chat for the human queue.

  • Deterministic keyword rules return the configured response for a match
  • Unmatched questions request the human queue instead of inventing a rule answer
  • Agents can claim or assign the existing conversation from the inbox

Can my whole team use it?

Yes. Add teammates from the Team panel; each is an agent seat answering from the same inbox. Regular and Business have no plan-level seat cap, and the inbox supports claim, assignment, and transfer controls.

Is my data isolated from other tenants?

Core chat and customer rows, sessions, and access paths carry a workspace scope. This describes the current implementation, not an independent security certification.

What happens after a connection interruption?

Clients reconnect and request persisted messages after the last sequence they saw. This is message-gap recovery, not a zero-downtime or availability guarantee.

What does installation require?

Copy one async script tag with your workspace id into the pages that need chat.
